i just got home from what will probably be the best show of 08. tragedy fucking destroyed the capitol hill arts center tonight. i seriously dont think the smile left my face the entire time they were playing. heres some footage of them playing one of my favorites at gilman a few years ago. if theyre playing anywhere near you dont blow it, BE THERE.

ive been straight edge since i was like 15. tonight i finally see earth crisis, a band that a much younger version myself would probably be shitting his pants in anticipation of seeing. in honor of this momentous event ive x’d up for the first time in perhaps 10 years. i cant fucking wait.

a record labeless radiohead will release their newest lp “in rainbows” on october 10th via digital download on their site. sounds pretty standard right? wrong. you decide what you want to pay for the record. give them $100 or give them nothing. radiohead has completely taken the power out of the record industrys hands and i fucking love it.

can a sober trent reznor put on a good NIN show 10 years after their prime? would it be worth $56? FUCK YES. i cant believe how good this show was. i somehow didnt get bored for the entire 2 hours of their set. reznors voice has stood the test of time and his stage presence is still top notch. if and when they announce their next tour pray theyre stopping in your city.
