As of late, fixed-gear bicycles have emerged as a trend that is quickly catching fire. La Carrera along with United Front have collaborated with legendary bicycle manufacturer Colnago. As the global street culture begins to embrace fixed-gear bicycles, our family at La Carrera felt that it would only be right to bring two legends to collaborate on the design of bicycle frames with Colnago. Futura, an 80´s NYC bike messenger who opted to deliver packages through the streets of Manhattan on a fixed bike, was an obvious choice for the execution of this project. Having a strong cycling background, he brought a great deal of credibility to the project from a street culture as well as from a bike messenger perspective. As Futura and Stash work closely together on a myriad of global projects, we felt it was only right to bring them to Canada for their first exhibition north of the US. We are extremely pleased that we have been able to bring such heavyweights together and can expect a great deal of energy around this project.
