San Jose martial arts icons Frank Shamrock and Cung Le squared off in one of the most exciting fights of the year in our co-promotion with Strikeforce last Saturday. 17,000 fans at the HP Pavilion and a national Showtime audience witnessed the passing of the torch as Cung Le defeated Shamrock to claim the Strikeforce middleweight title, as well as hometown bragging rights. It was the largest and loudest crowd we’ve had so far this year. San Jose is definitely one of the top fight towns in the country.

On a side note, many mahalos to Mannie Fresh for taking care and hooking up the post fight mini vacation. Good looking out bruddah!
