Pro surfers Makua Rothman and Dustin Barca get some mat time in before competing at the US Open in Huntington Beach last week. Most of the boys in the North Shore train jiu-jitsu and boxing regularly to stay in shape.

The highly anticipated rematch between Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith takes place tonight live on CBS EliteXC Saturday Night Fights. They say the sequel is never as good as the original but this fight can’t help but be exciting again. Fights start at 9PM ET/PT

Congrats to Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort on his KO victory over Terry Martin at last weekend’s Affliction Banned event in Anaheim, CA. A vicious flying knee followed by a textbook uppercut, straight left combo ended the fight in the 2nd round. prior to the fight there were a lot of people questioning Vitor’s drive and killer instinct. I think this performance squashed a lot of those doubts. The Phenom is back.
